Prova · 2026

"It's probably just stress" is not a medical record.

People with PMDD often spend years being told the same thing, because a description of how the last few months felt is easy to wave away. A dated log showing the same symptoms spiking in the same phase, cycle after cycle, is not. Prova turns one into the other.

How it works

Three steps, about a minute a day

  1. Rate 11 symptoms, once a day

None to severe, grouped into mood, behavioural and physical. It is the DSM-5 premenstrual criteria turned into a form you can fill in over a coffee. A note field catches the day in your words.

  2. Watch the pattern build

Your curve fills in as you log. A phase-by-phase breakdown shows which symptoms cluster in your luteal window — the shape a clinician is looking for, rather than a month-by-month feeling.

  3. Take the report to an appointment

Pro exports a clean PDF of the pattern. You walk in with a record instead of trying to remember what February was like.

What gets logged

The 11 DSM-5 premenstrual symptoms

Not a general mood diary. These are the specific symptoms the diagnostic criteria name, which is why the resulting record is useful to a clinician.

Prova does not diagnose anything. It is a symptom log and a report, not a medical device and not a substitute for care. Only a clinician can diagnose PMDD. The report exists to give that conversation a real record to work from. If you are struggling, please talk to a doctor — and if you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line.

Questions

Straight answers

Does Prova diagnose PMDD?

No. It is a log and a report. Only a clinician can diagnose PMDD — the point is to hand them a record instead of a recollection.

How long before the pattern means anything?

The pattern gets more useful the longer you log, because it is the repetition across cycles that carries the weight. Two cycles is a reasonable point to have something worth showing.

Where is my data kept?

On your phone. No account, no sign-up. The PDF only leaves when you export it.

What does the widget show?

Your cycle day and phase. Never your symptoms — deliberately, so a glance at your home screen gives nothing away.

What is free?

The daily log, the pattern view and the widget. Pro adds the clinician PDF, luteal-phase alerts and treatment tracking.
